Shubhman Gill Reveals the message he received from Hardik before smashing 126 against New Zealand: No need to do anything extra

Shubhman Gill has revealed the message he got from Hardik Pandya ahead of his match-winning knock of 126 not out against New Zealand in the 3rd T20 on Wednesday. Gill’s Innings consisted of 12 huge sixes and 7 boundaries.

By Crox Media Desk:  Indian Opener Shubhman Gill opened up on the message that he received from Hardik Pandya before the third T20 against New Zealand and said the captain asked him to play his natural game and no need to do anything else. 

Gill thrashed all of his records and he became the fifth batsman to score a hundred in all three formats of the game. He scored 126 not out and helped India to reach a massive score of 234 runs in 20 overs. 

The Kiwis batting lineup struggled against the Indian Bowling, with Pandya picking four wickets on the day and India managed to clinch the victory by 168 runs on Wednesday. 

The Young Batter told Pandya gave me a lot of confidence. And then revealed the message he got from the all-rounder, who told him to play his natural game and not do anything extra. 

Gill said that 90% of the credit for his knock goes to his father.

He said, “A lot of credit goes to my dad, I think in improving my game the most important thing is backing up that I got from my skipper and team management. Prior to this T20 Series, the matches I played but was not able to meet my expectations. But before this match, they boosted my confidence and said “You just play your natural game and there is no need to do anything extra”. So, this one thing helped me a lot.”

Apart from this, he said, “90% of the credit goes to my father as well, he believed in me and I practiced in the way that he wanted me to and that was his vision.”
