By Crox Media Desk: Chetan Sharma has resigned as chief selector following a sting operation. Chetan Sharma was heard talking about the relationship between former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and former Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
Chetan Sharma was re-appointed as a chief selector last month but the controversial sting landed him in a trouble. On Friday, Chetan Sharma sent his resignation letter to Jay Shah. In the sting, Chetan was caught saying how he spent 30 minutes talking to current Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma and revealed Hardik Pandya would come to his place and discuss his future.
Sharma was reinstated by BCCI after being removed after India’s performance in T20 World Cup in Australia was seen casting on players such as Virat Kohli and Jaspirt Bumrah during the Sting operation. During a sting operation with ZEE, Sharma allegedly revealed internal discussions with head coach Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli.
Sharma revealed despite being 80 to 85 percent fit, many players take injections to expedite their return to competitive cricket. The former India pace bowler also claimed the he and team management disagreed on Jasprit’s return from a stress fracture for the September T20I series against Australia.
