Australian Open: Novak Djokovic crowned as the King of Melbourne Once Again

From being deported from the country last year to rule Melbourne city, Djokovic is back again with a new energy. Winning battles on and off the court, the Serb become the joint become the joint-successful men’s singles player of the history of the sport.

By Crox Media Desk:  It was his coronation as the King of Melbourne. Moments after the final point was won after a 2 hour and 56-minute Final, Djokovic rushed back to his box, embraced his mother and brother. He cried like never before and cameras captured the raw emotions.

The emotions have been outpouring for over weeks now. Novak claimed his 10th Australian Open crown to match the level of Rafael Nadal and reclaimed his No.1 Spot and the feeling of having conquered the Melbourne crown was again too much for the 22-time Grand Slam Champion. The sobbing did not stop even after his regained his composure and returned back to his chair on the court. When he got back to his Mic after reunion with his brother with the Norman Brookes Cup. He called this victory “the biggest victory of his career” considering the current circumstances.

Djokovic has been involved in some memorable battles over the years in Melbourne. From winning his first Grand Slam crown to the 12 rounds against Nadal back in 2012 but the 10th title was one of his greatest victories a lot more because of current circumstances.

Djokovic required the physical ammunition to reign supreme in the Australian Open but more importantly, he need to be in the best shape to return to Melbourne, where he was under deportation facility last January and win the trophy that made his career over a decade now.

The wining Machine is back, even Nick Kyrgios pointed out. Djokovic played like a man possessed and like a monster that was created after last year’s storm.

Djokovic might not be the perfect wall monster but on the court, there are hardly many who can do what is capable of doing especially under the circumstances that he is going through.
