Shiv Sena’s leader Sudhir Suri was shot dead during a protest in Amritsar, Punjab

Shiv Sena leaders were protesting outside a temple, and suddenly someone from the crowd came and shot Suri dead.

By Crox Media Group: Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri was shot dead in Punjab’s Amritsar. The incident actually took place outside a temple in Amritsar. The leaders from Shiv Sena were protesting outside the temple, and this is when someone from the crowd came and shot Suri.

Amritsar’s police commissioner, Arun Pal Singh, confirmed his death.

Shiv Sena leaders were peacefully protesting against the temple authorities after some broken idols were found in trash outside the temple premises. The incident took place at a Gopal Temple located on the Majitha Road.

While protesting, some people shot at Suri. While some of his supporters tended to him, others were seen firing in the air.

According to sources, the police had arrested the attacker. The Shiv Sena leader was attacked while he was talking to a police official. The accused reportedly shot three bullets at the leader.

Suri was on the hit list and had a huge amount of security. The crowd caught hold of the suspected attacker, and he was later taken into police custody. The suspected attacker is identified as Sandeep Singh. Reacting to this horrifying decision, BJP Leader Tajinder Singh Bagga slammed AAP’s government and said that “the law and order in Punjab had heavily collapsed.”

Suri was in the news after being arrested for using very offensive words about a community and provoking religious sentiments in July of this year. He had taken over social media and posted a video where he and some of his aides can be heard saying objectionable words to the community.
