Delhi’s Air Quality Improves: Schools to reopen, few restrictions lifted. Read the Complete Details here

As the air quality of the capital improves, the state government reopens schools and lifts several other restrictions as well.

By Crox Media: As the quality of air in Delhi has improved, the state government announced the reopening of schools on November 9 and lifted a few other restrictions, including the entry of trucks and small goods vehicles into the capital. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the ban on private demolition and construction will continue.

However, schools have been asked to remove all the outdoor activities from their routines. And not only that, but the state government had revoked the policy as well.

The environment minister also announced that the “Paryavaran Bus Service,” which includes 500 privately run CNG buses, will continue operating.

Delhi’s air pollution levels marginally improved on Monday but still remain in the “very poor category.” The overall AQI recorded in the national capital is 326, according to the data provided by SAFAR. The quality of air in Delhi’s satellite states was also at the lower end of the “very poor” spectrum: the AQI was 332 in Noida and 325 in Gurugram.

With pollution levels no longer hazardous, the Center’s air quality panel lifted the fresh curbs under the fourth and final stage of the Graded Response Action (GRA) imposed just three days ago. Delhi’s CM, Arvind Kejriwal, stated that schools will remain shut from Saturday, November 5th, till further notice.
