Noida Police detained a woman for faking her own death by killing another woman and dressing the corpse in her own clothes. The accused and her boyfriend killed the woman, distorted her face and also left a suicide note.
By Crox Media Desk: A 22-year-old woman has been detained by Greater Noida Police for killing a mall employee. The accused is identified as Payal Bhati faking her own death by killing another woman and dressing the corpse in her own clothes.
“Payal Bhati and her partner Ajay Thakur killed Chaudhary after befriending a mall employee who had similar physical attributes. They had also planted suicide note in the name of Payal Bhati and try fool police by making it a suicide note” a Police officer quoted by the news agency PTI as saying.
On the basis of a Suicide note, the body was handed to the relatives of Bhati who cremated the body. The suicide note mentioned, “My face is burnt and I don’t want to live anymore”.
Police said the accused took the victim to Bhati’s house, killed her and distorted her face to make her identification difficult. Bhati then allegedly dressed the corpse in her clothes just to fake her death and then eloped with her partner.
The family members lodged a missing complaint at Bisrakh Police Station after going missing on November 12.
When contacted, two senior police officers said they will reveal the truth on Friday.
An initial investigation revealed that Payal Bhati’s parents died by suicide about six months ago and she held her brother-in-laws responsible for their deaths. Payal’s relatives had taken a loan from her and when asked to repay that they started harassing him as a result Payal’s father committed suicide. Payal faked her own death by killing an employee of a mall.
On the other hand, Payal’s grandfather revealed claimed that she wanted to marry Ajay but she had a doubt that her relationship would ever get approval from her family. She then faked death to create the impression that she ended her life.
