Over 16,000 units recalled of Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Wagon R.

The recalled units of the Baleno and the Wagon R were manufactured on July 30, 2019, and November 1, 2019. 

By Crox Times Desk:  Maruti Suzuki announced the recall of over 16,000 units of its premium hatchback i.e. Baleno and Wagon R mid-level hatchback over a suspected faulty fuel pump motor. 

The company will recall 11,851 units of the Baleno and 4,190 units of the Wagon R which are manufactured between July 30, 2019 and November 1, 2019. 

In an official statement, the company said, “It is suspected that there is a possible defect in a part of the Fuel pump Motor. Which causes engine issues shortly”

The Nation’s biggest carmaker will contact the affected vehicle owners via its authorized dealer to change the defective part. 

Maruti Said the affected part will be replaced absolutely. 

For reference, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R are the best-selling cars from the largest carmakers in the country. 

In the current fiscal, from April to February, Maruti has sold over 180,18 units of the Baleno and 183,310 units of the Wagon R. 

As far as the pricing of the car, Baleno is priced between INR 6.66 Lakh and INR 9.88 Lakh (Ex-showroom Price), and the Wagon R sits at the price of INR 5.54 Lakh to INR 7.37 (Ex-showroom Price)
