A Swiggy Delivery executive died after a car hit him and dragged him over a kilometer on New Year’s Night.
By Crox Media Desk: In an incident similar to the Kanjhawala accident in Delhi, a food delivery executive died after a car rammed into him and dragged him for over a Kilometer in Noida last Sunday.
Kaushal Yadav, a resident of Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh who was working as a Swiggy Partner, the sector 14 flyover in Noida on New Year’s night when his bike was struck by an unidentified car.
After colliding with the two-wheeler, the car dragged the delivery partner to Shani temple- around 1 km from the scene of the accident- where the driver stopped his car and then fled away from the scene.
The deceased family registered a complaint at the Police Station of Mayur Vihar 1 and they said they called Kaushal on the night of the incident. His phone was picked up by a cab driver and he said Kaushal has been involved in an accident and was lying on the road near Shani temple.
A case was registered against the car driver and police launched an investigation into a hit and run. CCTV footage is being checked and the cab driver who informed the deceased family is being questioned. The accident took place just hours after a 20-year-old woman was hit by a car and dragged for around 12 km on Delhi’s roads. The victim Anjali Singh’s body was found naked with severe injuries, shocking the whole Nation.
