Abhay Deol reveals he drank every single after Dev D release

Abhay Deol opens up the headspace as Dev D’s character soon after its release. The film was released in 2009.

By Crox Media Desk: Abhay Deol is receiving mixed reviews with the limited series, trail by fire. The series depicts the Uphaar Cinema Tragedy and also features Rajeshwari Pande as a female lead. Abhay Deol revealed the pressure coming from the upcoming film Family and how DEV D put him into an altogether different position. 

Abhay Deol on Dev D

For those who are unaware, DEV D is a black comedy film that got released in 2009. This was written and directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film featured Abhay Deol, Mahie Gill and Kalki Koechlin. Speaking in New York, Abhay Deol shared. “The Role that I played was quite tough and it was in my headspace, so for one year I did what I enacted in the film. I have better things than Dev. I wasn’t in tattered clothes in the streets. I drank every day like a fool. I made some very good friends, so I remember some things. My whole life was in a daze. 

I used to hate Media and Fame

He also spoke about why hates media and fame. “Since belong to a filmy, so ever since my childhood I hate fame as privacy just vanishes. I used to literally hate fame and the Media. Because growing up I saw a lot of written about family, being questioned as a kid” it is true or not? This used to make me angry”

Meanwhile, Trail by fire is based on the best-seller book. Trail by Fire of the Uphaar Tragedy written by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy.
