Skoda will officially reveal the name of the compact SUV this year.
By CROX Times Desk: Skoda is all set to launch a sub-4 metre compact SUV in the start of 2025. To be developed and built in India, the new model from Skoda will be direct rival to Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Breeza, Hyundai Venue, KIA Sonet, and Mahindra XUV300.
Just like the Skoda Slavia mid-size sedan and Skoda Kushaq, the new Skoda Compact SUV will be based on the India-Specific MQB-AO- IN platform, which is jointly developed in India and the Czech Republic with a high focus localization, slightly low cost of ownership and quick around times. It is also the first platform developed by the company outside of Europe.
The company is now looking for a suitable name for its upcoming Compact SUV. The official name will be announced later this year.
The company claimed that excise benefits in the pricing of the Compact SUV will be in the budget of the customers. And since it is an entry-level product in India, it is expected to be a volume driver.
