The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is an arch-rival of the popular Mahindra Thar.
By Crox Times Desk: The leading automobile company i.e., Maruti Suzuki Jimny is offering a heavy discount on the recently launched Jimny. The SUV entered the market in June and is currently sold from the Nexa channel of the country’s largest carmaker.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a direct rival to Mahindra Thar. Since June, Maruti has sold over 12,000 units whereas Mahindra has sold over 20,000 units during the same period.
The Jimny’s monthly volumes are numbered at 3100 units and that of Mahindra’s Thar are 5100.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available in two variants, Zeta and Alpha. According to recent studies, the Zeta variant offers a discount of INR 50,000 and a loyalty bonus of INR 50,000. The loyalty bonus can be availed by customers who already own a Maruti car.
Talking about the specifications of Jimny, the K15B petrol engine generates 105PS of maximum power and 134 NM of peak torque. As far as the transmission is concerned, it comes with 5-speed AT and 4-speed AT.
Maruti Suzuki started five-door Jimny in countries like Latin America, the Middle East, and South Africa.
