The Grand Vitara was the largest-selling mid-size SUV in January, followed by the new Creta and KIA Seltos.
By CROX Times Desk: The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, and KIA Seltos have become the leaders in the mid-size SUV segment in January competing with the likes of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and Astor.
Grand Vitara at the top
Surprisingly, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara was the largest-selling mid-size SUV in January at over 13,000 beating the Hyundai Creta.
Talking about the pricing of the car, it is priced at INR 10.80 Lakh and INR 20.09 Lakh (Ex-showroom Price). The car gets a couple of engine options- 1.5 Litre electric hybrid and 1.5 litre K-series dual jet.
New Creta at Second Position
We generally see the Hyundai at the top of the volume chart of the mid-size SUV segment. However, this time around the car bagged second position.
The new Creta was launched last month and is priced between INR 11 Lakh and 20.15 Lakh (Ex-showroom Price). The car comes with three engine options- a 1.5 MPI Litre engine, a 1.5 Litre Kappa Turbo GDi turbo engine, and a 1.5 Litre U2 CRDi petrol engine.
KIA Seltos at number 3
The Seltos from KIA fall behind the Grand Vitara and the Creta with sales of 6,391 units in January. Talking about the price, it falls between INR 10.90 Lakh to 20.30 Lakh (Ex-showroom Price)
The Seltos comes with three options- Smartstream 1.5 Litre Turbo- GDi Petrol, Smartstream 1.5 Litre NA Petrol, and Smartstream 1.5 Litre CRDi VGT diesel.
