Mahindra Scorpio, Thar, XUV 700 Witnessed a Sudden Decrease in Bookings in Q3 FY24.

Mahindra had around 220,000 open bookings as of February 1. 

By Crox Times Desk: The domestic carmaker Mahindra and Mahindra witnessed a dip in average monthly bookings for the Scorpio, Thar, and XUV700 in Q3 FY24 as compared to the previous quarter, even demand for models like Bolero, XUV300, and XUV400 had increased. 

The average monthly bookings for both models of Scorpio dropped to 16k in Q3 as it was 17k in Q2. The off-road monster Thar also recorded a dip of around 10k in Q2 to 7k in Q3. And the XUV700 also witnessed a dip in Q2 with 9k to 7k in Q3. 

However, the demand for bolero, XUV300, and XUV400 rose in the December quarter. The average bookings for the car, including Neo jumped from 9k in Q2 to 11k in Q3. And XUV300 and XUV400 witnessed a jump from 6k in Q2 to 9k in Q3. 

The carmaker revealed that the increase in cancellations was due to the year-end vehicle registration number (VIN) change. It further added the cancellations were down to less than 8% as of January 2024.
