Maruti Suzuki is not naming its Toyota Hycross as “engage”.
By Crox Times Desk: A few days back, we reported that Maruti Suzuki will launch Toyota’s Hycross under its umbrella for the next two months. And now there are speculations that the carmaker has filed for a new trademark as “engage”
However, the company will not name MPV as engage, as per sources. As of now, it is not clear what would be its name. But this vehicle would be the flagship model for the model, residing above Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara which has been priced between 10.70 Lakh and 19.95 (ex-showroom Price)
The Toyota Hycross was launched in India in December 2022 and it is currently priced at Rs 18.55 Lakh and Rs 29.72 Lakh with engine options 2.0 litre and 2.0 Litre VVTi petrol with fifth generation system.
As per Maruti’s annual financial results Press Conference, the company’s Chairman RC revealed that one product that we will introduce will be a vehicle sourced from Toyota another major carmaker and that will be a three-strong hybrid model.

He further added “The same vehicle has pending bookings of over 12 months. How many vehicles we would get largely depends on their manufacturing capacity and their needs.”
When asked whether Toyota will be able to supply the vehicle as they are still struggling with supply issues. Bhargva said “We have an agreement with Toyota that some number of cars need to be supplied even if their production is short. It is an agreement from both parties and we ourselves need to make adjustments accordingly.
