The KIA EV9 continues the legacy of its E-GMP vehicles and bags the 2024 World Car of the Year at the 2024 World Car Awards.
By CROX Times Desk: The KIA EV9 won doubles titles at the 2024 World Car Awards, winning the 2024 World Car of the Year title and the World Electric Vehicle 2024. This takes KIA’s Award tally to five in the history of carmakers. Last i.e. 2023, the KIA EV6 GT bagged the World Car Performance title. Three years back in 2020, KIA won the World Car of the Year title and the World Urban Car title for the Soul EV.

In the overall World Car of the Year Category, the KIA EV9 was chosen from an initial entry list of around 30 vehicles from all over the world then a short list of three finalists as it was announced at Geneva Motor Show. The top three vehicles included the BYD Seal and Volvo EX30 along with KIA EV9.
