Creta has been made a household choice in India

The Importance of the Creta for Hyundai can be learned from the fact that the SUV alone contributed 26.1% to the carmaker’s annual domestic volume in 2023. 

By Crox Times Desk: The Creta has made Hyundai a household name in India with an updated version of the mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV), which entered the market last month, expected to enhance its popularity further, as per company officials. 

The car was initially launched in 2015, the Creta has registered wholesales of around 1,00,000 units in the domestic market till now. While the vehicle that the company is offering is in its second-generation avatar, it received a mid-life update in January 2024. 

Hyundai currently offers 13 Models- Grand i10 Nios, i20 N-Line, Aura, Verna, Exter, Kona Electric, and Ioniq 5. In 2023, the company recorded its highest-ever domestic volume during a calendar year at 602,111 units. 

With record wholesales of over 157,311 units in 2023, the importance of the Creta Hyundai can be seen in the fact that the SUV alone contributed 26.1% to the carmaker’s domestic sales volume. The Creta also had a major share of 30.7% in the mid-SUV Segment which stood over 500,00 units in 2023. 

In the highly competitive mid-size SUV Segment, the Hyundai Creta takes on the likes of KIA Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor. And it will have another rival this year in the form of TATA Curvv.
