BMW has broken the Mercedes-Benz streak for the third time in a row.
By Crox Times Desk- The BMW 7 series has received the premium car of the year by ICOTY. The German carmaker automaker’s flagship sedan in its latest avatar is just game-changing in its new model, the company is known for its unconventional and extreme level of technical power. The BMW 7 series tipped other contenders in the category which was last year won by Mercedes Benz EQS 580.
The Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) jury mainly includes Indian Automotive journalists from major magazines, publications, and other major media houses. Each Jury member tests these cars and has a total of 25 points to award in total. No car can be awarded more than 10 points by a jury member with a total of 25 points to be divided among contenders to declare one clear winner. Hence there were fewer chances of keeping the process transparent and avoiding the chances of the jury influencing the award.
The Premium Car Award 2024 by ICOTY had a total of eight contenders for the title including the BMW 7-series, Mercedes Benz GLC, Lexus LX, Volvo C40 Recharge, and Land Rover Range Sport as well as well.
BMW launched 7 series earlier this year in India and not only that it also marks the launch of its electric series i.e. BMW I7 which is highly accepted by customers.
