By Crox Media Desk: Apple is reportedly working on cheaper AirPods earbuds, rumored to be called “AirPods Lite”. According to some analysts demand this year- more specifically from 73 million units in 2022 to 63 million in 2023. That’s mainly due to the “soft AirPods demand” price and no launch of New Apple earbuds this year. Therefore, the company is working on affordable earbuds to attract more customers, though the launch remains still unclear.
However, being “budget” Apple, the so-called AirPods Lite will definitely lose out on many features that rivals like Jabra and Samsung offer on their earbuds at similar prices. For Instance, the apple AirPods 2nd Gen Already lacks features such as spatial audio and dynamic tracking, a water-resistant charging case, and a custom high dynamic range amplifier even at a very high price point.
If apple goes forward with AirPods Lite, the earbuds may resemble the 2nd Gen Model. But it would be really interesting to see where it would have a lighting port or Universal Type C port.
AirPods are easily one of the most popular in its category and many brands are trying to copy the design to attract the target audience. While the news is affordable AirPods Lite Exciting, it seems unlikely as of now.
