The Harrier and The Safari have witnessed a decline in sales facing stiff competition from Mahindra Scorpio and XUV 700.
By CROX Times Desk: TATA Motors will launch the 2023 Harrier Facelift and the Safari Facelift Tomorrow. The bookings for this SUV began on October 6 for a token amount of INR 25,000. With the introduction of upgraded models, the Indian brand is ready to dominate the SUV market.
The Company has Four SUVs in its portfolio- Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. While Punch and the Nexon are the leaders in their respective segments the same cannot be said about Harrier and the Safari.
In H1 FY24, TATA’s domestic SUV Volume dropped 5.16% to 172,174 units from 181,481 units in H1 FY23. While the combined volume of the Punch and the Nexon Slipped marginally by 0.43% at 151,601 units in H1 FY24 from 152,249 units in H1 FY23 if we talk about TATA Harrier and the Safari 30.72% at 20,253 units in H1 FY24 from 29,232 units in H1 FY23.
As per the experts, the TATA Punch has been consistently quite doing well, the Nexon experienced a slight dip in August as the updated model was introduced in September.
However, the Harrier and the Safari have been not able to match the mark relatively affordable options from Mahindra and Mahindra in Scorpio and XUV 700.
