Volvo C40 Recharge set to be launched on September 4 in India

The C40 Volvo Charge will be the carmaker’s second electric SUV in the country after the XC40 Recharge. 

By Crox Times Desk: Volvo Car India will launch C40 Recharge, the company’s first born-electric model completely on September 4. The C40 Recharge will be the carmaker’s Second electric SUV In the country after the XC40 Recharge. 

Unlike the XC40 Recharge, this model is a completely Born Electric Vehicle, which means developed ground up as an electric car. 

The booking of the Volvo C40 Recharge electric SUV is expected to commence the next month. 

The Volvo C40 Recharge is based on the compact modular architecture (CMA) platform. The India-spec model has a twin setup with a combined output of 408bhp and 660NM. The power is supplied by a 78kwh battery. 

The company claims a range for C40 Recharge on a single charge can cover 530km. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.5 seconds

Buyers have to visit the official website of Volve to book the vehicle but would the prices will be announced by the company. The booking would begin from the official dealerships only. 

The ex-showroom price of the XC40 Recharge is INR 56.90 lakh and the expected price of the Volvo C40 Recharge would be a bit higher. 

The company plans to 100% electrified vehicles by 2030 and become carbon neutral by 2030.
