Mahindra Thar’s arch rival Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes with a 4WD standard.
By CROX Times Desk: Even after Jimny not so good performance in terms of volume, mainly due to its high price. Maruti Suzuki will not introduce a two-wheel-drive version of SUV at a lower price, as per the company’s official.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny was launched in India in July 2023. The car recorded sales of over 18,000 units in FY24. As far as the price of the SUV is concerned, it sits in the bracket of INR 12.74 Lakh to INR 14.95 Lakh (Ex-showroom Price)
Maruti had plans to make Jimny and Fronx to become an SUV segment in FY24. Fronx performed really well recording over 1,30,000 units but Jimny failed to make its presence. The largest carmaker in India also offers the Breeza and Grand Vitara.
The company did make hefty discounts to grab the attention of its potential buyers to boost sales. While there were offers to be tune of INR 2.21 Lakh on the SUV during its launch month, not only that the dealers were also providing additional benefits from their side too. But the results are not as per the expectations.
