Maruti Suzuki Jimny is one of the most anticipated SUVs from a reliable car maker.
By Crox Times Desk: After the successful launch of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx-4 Metre Compact SUV, Maruti Suzuki India is all geared up to introduce its much-awaited five-door Jimny. As per the sources, the off-roader has received impeccable 24,500 Bookings till now.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is one of the eagerly-anticipated SUVs in India. It is the fourth SUV in the country’s largest carmaker after its Maruti Suzuki Breeza, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
As of now, the company is now targeting a market share of 25% in India’s SUV Segment in FY24. The carmaker has a lot of expectations from the Fronx and the Jimny. For reference, the company’s Volumes stood at 202,000 units in FY 2023, recording a share in the market of 12.07%. The automotive industry registered SUV volumes of 1,70,000 units during the fiscal.
Both Jimny and Fronx were presented at the auto expo 2023. The two SUVs are available at the Nexa dealership of Maruti Suzuki along with Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, and Grand Vitara.
The SUV is expected to be launched by the end of this month or most probably by next month. If we talk about the pricing of the SUV, it is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 15 Lakh (ex-showroom)
Besides the Jimny will stick to 4WD. And they are not planning 2WD in the near future as of now.
