The off-road SUV from Mahindra Thar has been a popular vehicle since its launch.
By Crox Times Desk: Mahindra and Mahindra have announced the company has reached the milestone of producing 1,00,000 units of the Thar SUV. This milestone has been achieved in less than 2.5 years ever since the production of the car began. A few months ago, Mahindra introduced the Mahindra RWD making it more feasible for customers.
On achieving the milestone, Veejay Nakra, the President of- the Automotive Division stated that “we are incredibly proud to reach this significant milestone of 1,00,000 units of Mahindra Thar. It is an SUV that has captured the imagination and hearts of adventure and travel freaks. We have seen Thar being evolved from being a hard off-roader to a vehicle that has become a symbol of freedom, passion, and the ultimate lifestyle SUV. We are grateful to our customers for trusting this and keeping their love for off-road. We are committed to delivering the supreme experience to car lovers”
Mahindra Thar is available in 4 X4 and RWD variants having an option of both petrol and diesel motors with manual and automatic transmissions. The engine options include a 1.5 litre diesel which makes 116hp, a 2.2 litre diesel with 130hp, and a 2.0 petrol with 150hp.
The prices of Thar commence at 9.99 Lakh for the AX optional Diesel RWD and go upto Rs 16.49 (ex-showroom)
