KIA Seltos Crossed 50,000 Units

KIA Seltos surpasses Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor. 

By Crox Times Desk: The KIA Seltos has crossed a significant mark in terms of volumes. It has crossed over 50,000 units in sales since its launch in August 2019, becoming the fastest mid-size SUV to do so. 

While KIA India has sold over 3 Lakh units of only Seltos in the domestic market and the carmaker has exported more than 135,885 units of the vehicle to nearly 100 markets including the middle east, Africa, America, and Mexico. 

The Seltos contributes around 51% of the Company’s net sales including all the exports and domestic sales consumption. In the first quarter of this year, the mid-size SUV got a total volume of around 28,000 units. 

As per several media reports, KIA is all set to introduce the KIA 2023 Facelift in July. 

The KIA Seltos is a direct rival to Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor. And soon it will be a new rival when Honda will introduce Elevate. The price of the car is between INR 10.89 Lakh and INR 19.65 Lakh. 

The Mid-size SUV comes with two engine options- a 1.5 Litre Smartstream Petrol and a 1.5 Litre CRDi diesel engine. The Petrol one generates 115PS of maximum power and 144NM peak torque can be paired with 6-speed MT and IVT Automatic. The diesel produces 116PS and 250NM of peak torque and can be paired with a 6-speed or 6-speed AT. There is no manual transmission with a diesel engine and 6-speed iMT as a standard.
