Hyundai Motor India launched the all-new entry-level SUV i.e., Hyundai Exter on July 10. We have already informed you that the vehicle is a rival to the popular TATA Punch. Who did better in terms of volumes?

The Exter marked the dispatches of 7,000 units in the month of July, punch crossed 12,019 units in the same month.

The price of Hyundai Exter is between INR 5,99,999 and INR 10,09,990 (Ex-showroom) while the comes in the range of INR 5,99,900 to INR 10,09,900 (Ex-showroom).
Hyundai Exter VS TATA Punch: Engine and Mileage
Hyundai Exter is equipped with a 1.2 Litre Kappa Petrol Engine that delivers 83 PS and 113 NM of torque that can be mated with 5-speed MT or 5-Speed AMT. There is also an CNG option that delivers 69 PS and 95.2 NM but this can be mated only 5-speed MT only.
If we talk about the mileage of Hyundai Exter, the company claims to be 19.4 kmpl for the Petrol MT, 19.2kmpl for petrol AMT, and 27.1km/kg for the CNG version.
TATA Punch is equipped with Revotron Petrol Engine that generates 88PS and 113 NM. This comes with both a 5-Speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. There is also a CNG option that produces 73PS and 103NM. The Punch CNG has also only 5-speed Manual Transmission.
For the Punch, TATA Motors claims to have a mileage of around 20.09 Kmpl for the petrol MT and 18.8kmpl for petrol AMT, and 26.99km/kg for the CNG Variant.
