Honda Elevate First Drive Review

The highly anticipated Honda Elevate is here. Is it a great rival to the likes of the Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara? Let’s find out. 

By CROX Times Desk: The Compact SUV has been a long time in making. Not just the Honda Loyal fanbase but in general the country has been waiting for this SUV which the carmaker has named Elevate. But Honda Elevate has to impress those who are looking to buy Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor as well. This is a stiff competition, isn’t it?

Honda Elevate Exterior 

An SUV is a well-accepted category in the Indian Market. Hence the company provided a big front grille in all black. There is a chrome line going right at the top which merges with sleek LED Headlamps and DRLs. If we talk about the dimensions of the car the Elevate offers 2,650mm wheelbase and is 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,650mm in height.

The Honda Elevate looks stunning all credit goes to the soft-touch materials which are used all around the cabin. The dashboard is very well designed that offers 10.25 inches of infotainment system allowing both Android and Apple Connectivity. The controls for the Automatic Climate Control system are very well integrated into the design. The central control has a binnacle for wireless charging as well. 

The seats are very comfortable and offer good support. However, they are not ventilated that’s a great miss by the company. There is a good amount of space thanks to the 2,650mm of wheelbase. Not only that Honda Elevate provided a sunroof as well but it is not a panoramic one. When it comes to boot space, it is quite sufficient. 

Honda Elevate: Gearbox, Mileage, and Engine 

The Honda Elevate comes with one engine choice which 1.5 Litre i-VTEC Petrol engine. The engine offers 121 bhp at 6600 Rpm and 145NM at 4300 rpm. The gearboxes are 6-speed Manual and CVT claiming a fuel efficiency of 15.3 KMPL whereas the CVT Version offers 16.32 KMPL. 

Honda Elevate: How it is to drive?

The car is quite smooth while driving and the company had managed to maintain its reputation when it comes to handling. The SUV is equipped with smooth and responsive steering which is a joy to use. If you are looking for a family Compact then Honda Elevate is the right choice for you.
